Strung Out [3D animation]

Este corto fue dirigido por Stephen Barnes y realizado por el grupo de 4to año de animación en Max the Mutt el año pasado. Todos contribuimos de alguna manera. En mi caso, yo diseñe a los búhos, los modele y riguie (es una palabra?), también me encargue de los créditos y a todos nos toco animar.

I just re-edited this film, I hated the original one. This one was done in ToonBoom and watercolor. I couldn't find the track that I used the first time and well, as soon as I find the name of this one I'll post it. In the meantime, enjoy!!

Reedite este corto hace unos dias por que el origial kiaj!!. Lo hice en ToomBoom y acuarela. Ya no encontre el track que useoriginalmente, y de este, en cuanto encuentre el titulo y autor los posteare. En el inter, espero lo disfruten.

Baby Owl falling

I designed, modeled and rigged the owls, and animated the whole thing. This scene is part of the group film I worked with my classmates this year.

I saw this guy on the streetcar while I was drawing at a coffee shop. He was very cool looking, I had to draw him, but my drawing ended up looking cute instead, oh well...

I made this film entirely in Maya. Since I was learning the program I tried to keep it as simple as possible and yet I wanted it to look interesting. I hope I succeeded.

I just found out that I was supposed to credit the website I got the music from, well technically, I didn't find the music, It was Andreas Anler who, nicely enough, picked the music for me. Anyways, the themes are "Trouble", "Flighty Theme" and "Mr Mealey's Mediocre Machine" by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)

Hice este corto completamente en Maya. Ya que estaba aprendiendo el programa, trate de mantenerlo lo mas simple posible y aun asi que fuera interesante visualmente. Espero haberlo conseguido.

Me acabo de enterar que debi haber puesto en los creditos los nombres de las canciones que use asi como el sitio de donde las baje y el autor, como no fui yo quien eligio la musica sino Andreas Anler, quien amablemente me ayudo, pues me costo un poco de trabajo dar con la fuente. This one is one of those doodles that I rescued from my sketchbook, I finished it a bit ago, I just forgot to upload it.

So far I'd posted just drawings but I like knitting and crocheting as well so here is my first attempt to crochet something changing colours and with my own pattern and I must say I'm quite satisfied.

Lately I've been rescuing little doodles from my sketchbook and develop them a little further, it has been a great exercise for me cos I am not that comfortable with digital painting, so it has been the perfect excuse to practise.

The Flower Girl short film

As I promised before, here is the "storyboard" of my short film "The Flower Girl". I wasn't smart enough to keep a copy for myself without the school logo but ohh well...

The backgrounds were made with watercolor and the characters and animation were made with ToonBoom.

Life Drawing

Some of the life drawing I was doing a bit ago.

I've been thinking about creating a blog for a long time now, I have a DA [Deviant Art] account that I can't keep so I thought having a blog would be too much for me, but hey! I have to push myself!!

So here I am, with my brand new blog :D The idea of this blog is to keep my creative side active, as an art and animation student I've lost perspective a lot of times, why did I chose animation and not psychology?

The truth is that I have been inspired by the work posted by other artists in their blogs and I also think that this will be a good way to keep track of myself, force me to draw more and share it with the world, hopefully I'll get comments to improve my work.

I designed this character for my Toom Boom short film, and I discovered that the concept art part of the process is my favourite one. I'll post some screen shots of the film asap.
